Ok I'll admit, I didn't do a ton of searching for this, but I was wondering if there were any strut tower bars and lower arm bars for the BE from Cusco. I contacted a couple sites and they said they only had them for earlier Legacys.

If not Cusco any other brands? Are there model years compatible for those parts?

Thanks guys,
Andrew

I have a CUSCO bar on both the front and rear of my BE.

The front bar is the same as 93-01 Impreza and 90-04 Legacy, but the rear bar is 00-04 specific:

I have a CUSCO bar on both the front and rear of my BE.

The front bar is the same as 93-09 Impreza and 90-04 Legacy, but the rear bar is 00-04 specific:

93-01, 02-07, and 08+ imprezas all have different front strut tower bars.

For 2nd gen imprezas the bolt pattern rotated. I would be surprised if the same thing didn't happen at some point on Legacies.

Corrected.

I have heard that the 05+ Legacy did change.

Any idea on the lower arm bar? Rear or front, but specifically rear.

And where did you get your tower bars? I'm just not familiar with a ton of vendors and the one I got my struts/springs/sways was the one who said he didn't have the tower bars for BE

I was told by someone from personal experience that the front bar is not a good idea on the BE because it hangs lower than the BC/BJ and BD/BG/BK when mounted. Besides, the BE/BH is CONSIDERABLY more stiff than the previous generations.

I'd start hitting up vendors who sell parts specifically for the 93-01 Impreza.

And another question, can the BH bars fit the BE? I found some Outback tower bars but have to make sure they'll fit!

I know the front will...but I honestly don't recall if the BE and BH have the same mounting points. Because of the multilink setup in the rear on the 00+ Legacy, the mounting points are down on the floor, so it could very well be.

This image, from my bar, seems to indicate that the BH5 and BE5 do use the same bar:

I looked at the code listed with the BH5 bar and it says "680 540 A"

I'm guessing this wouldn't fit?

That image above is for the rear bar in my BE. It lists the BH5, so it should fit both.

680 541 A is shown as the BH5 rear bar CUSCO number here also:

Alright, well thanks to everyone's help I just ordered a nice little early-summer gift package for the Leggy.

On their way are both front and rear Cusco strut tower bars and joining them is the Cusco version II front lower arm bar. Along with the Whiteline swaybar and KYB/Vogtland setup, she should be handling like a go-kart! haha

Pics will be posted as soon as the parts arrive...
