strange 99 2.5gt sedan noise... :(

so for a couple days when driving around with the windows down
i've heard kind of a swish or woosh while i drive. it seems to be consistant
with the wheels moving (ie. at slow speeds its slows down).

sometimes when moving the car in the morning it feels a little stuck in place but if i buck in
my seat it starts to roll.

what do you fellow BD'ers think? breaks? bearings?

any info is appreciated

Bearings and/or CV joint is my guess. I had the same whoosh sound when turning real slow. Could not see a problem but then a CV boot blew so I ended up doing everything at once. The sound stopped after that.

It could have been the CVC joint rubbing on the boot when turning that was making the whoosh noise..... ??

oh and i forgot, when i turn it off there's a fast click/tick that was never there before coming from somewhere under the car.

didn't sound like the normal engine shut off stuff...

That's a heat shield cooling down.

i don't think its the heat shield, i know what that sounds like

Does the ticking slow down as the car cools down? If it does, it's a heat shield or other metal contracting.
