Hey guys, fairly new here. Ive got a 99 Legacy L anniversary edition stock suspension. 1st off will 17x7.5 wheels fit on my 99 legacy L and 2nd with what offset? any help is very appreciated.
What size tires will you be running?
Stay above a 48 offset on the wheels and you should be fine.

You'll be fine. 215/45/17 is better suited to a 17x7 wheel though.

should I run a 225/45/17 tire with that set up?

yes. 7.5 is "optimal" for a 225 width. Getting the right offset is key, otherwise the rears will rub.

Since were answering questions I have a set of 17x7 and am thinking about running a 225/45/17 with a 50mm offset........my car is lowered about 1.5 inches all around........Any rubbing issues with this setup??

You will probably rub on the rear strut with that tire width. 215 is better for a 17x7. 225 for a 17x7.5.
