Brembro Replacements or Cryo-Stop Rotors

I have to get some new rotors to get the car back on the road and can't seem to decide between these two options from tirerack.com. I know a few people on here use the brembo replacements and have had good luck, Has anyone used the CRYO-STOP rotors? Anyone every use these rotors or onces that have had the cryogenic process done?

Any reason you think you need these rotors instead of a basic set of Autozones?

went to autozone and the only brakes they had were duralast for the same price as the two i have listed above.. I've used the duralast rotors before and they were'nt bad, but if they're going to be the same price as the brembo's or these cry-stops, i might as well give either one a shot.

You can give the cryo rotors a shot. On paper the cryo treatment is supposed to make the rotor more warp resistant, though the guys that I know have tried them are mostly WRX drivers and fall into 2 categories; the ones that don't really drive that aggressively and just wanted to upgrade something (ie they wouldn't have warped the regular rotor) or the ones that track the car and end up warping the cryo-treated rotors anyway.

i decided to go with the cryo-stop rotors. i figure for only $2 dollars more, the possibility of them not warping or looking rusty is worth it.lol

I was sort of chuckling that they spent more time describing how they won't rust (even though that's a lie since give me those rotors for 1 winter in the midwest and I bet you the parts that aren't contacting brake pad will show rust) vs. the cryo treatment that makes these rotors different from the rest.

yeah thats the first thing i noticed too. I know here in pa, one month in the salt infested winters and my rotors look like they've been on for decades. it'd be nice if they stayed looking new for a winter, but we'll see, i not getting my hopes up.lol

The cry-stop rotors came into today. They look real nice, now we'll just see how the perform when i get them on. Hope to have them on by the end of the week.

post up a review after a bit of use. hope the coating lasts. ive never had a coating last more than 3 month before rust started to bubble threw

I have the Brembo drilled rotors...i guess they are good, they stop when i hit the brake pedal :lol:

haha yeah, then i guess the work well. I was planning to do a review after i put some miles on them. Hopefully i can get them on tomorrow after work.
