Is there any possible correlation here?

I didn’t have any leaks coming from the front before, but after I changed my rear main and oil separator plate all my front seals are leaking and the cam support plate is leaking out a lot worse than it was before too..

My only other explanation is that the guy I bought the car from had used some stop leak or similar product... but i dont recall the timing belt cover seals being swollen but they are now...

There’s so much oil leaking out I can’t even tell if any of it is coming from the rear main either.

Weakest seals will always go before the properly sealed ones. If your rear main WAS leaking, and it's not now - the logical conclusion is that the oil will find the path of least resistance under pressure.

Regardless, looks like you will have to have the front seal done.

I had a word with my mechanic, i asked him what possible causes and he said a bad PCV valve could cause this...

I just replaced the PCV valve with a new one while the car was out of commission for the rear main.. He said it might be a dud. I still have the old one, and it still seems to be working fine (rattling when i shake it). I'm gonna try to put that one back once i get the car back from him. He's trying to diagnose the sound coming from the rear.

In any case, if it is because of a bad PCV valve, now the seals are "breached" are they going to continue to leak even if i put back a working PCV valve?
