JDM 2.5 in 97 outback

Has anyone installed a JDM motor in a Outback? Looking for advice.

I was told I have to swap intake and exaust only. any help.

What kind of JDM motor? I heard you can get used JDM Legacy motors that bolt right up, wiring and all, for really cheap.

I'm not sure, I found a motor in IL. The guy said its the same but I need to switch over all the electical for it to work, I'm wondering if it will work he want 1300.00 for the motor.
