Alright just picked up this beast, its been in a field rusting for the last 20 years, I have spark and a little coughing now! I has an old ford y block and a hydrolic dump bed, I hope to have this for a wood truck soon!

thats pretty cool man, are you gonna restore it or make sort of a beater out of it?

Its going to be a firewood truck at first, eventually I would possibly look at restoration.

That would make a sweet hot rod. I HATE Fords, but the old school joints are on point in style. One of my neighbors has a T Bucket hot rod its bad ass  Good luck with this truck, take lots of pics!

Now that I think of it my friends dad had one of these sitting in the drive way for YEARS. The bedface was wood (needed new planks) but he never done anything with it. I mean this thing was sitting over 20 years. We used to play on it when we were kids. He just sold it two years ago for like $400. It might not be the same year but could be close.

Theres a MG convertible in the garage, and some old Buick coupe. His uncle collects cars too, he restores them at home and he has a garage on his property. Last time I was there he had 15 cars, it almost looked like a mini Jay Leno's garage lol.

looks kind of like mater. Props to giving a dinosaur new blood! Like they say, don't crush it, restore it!

Hahahaha
sounds like the beginning of a Pat Mcmanus story.
If you don't know who that is, you should really get some of his books. Good stuff.
Good job with the truck. I grew up working with my dad on those old things. I think my favorite was his '42 dodge power wagon army ambulance. :smt023

Yup! Always wanted one of those elusive 312 w/supercharger in the '56 T-Bird. gotta have dreams right?

BTW - I have a 460 in moth balls for my future projects. Been reading up on 513 's that make about 500 hp n/a and not too radical.

if your changing the fuel lines you should try and find a fuel pump.

Ford Tough for ya boy! 60 years and still running!

It has a pulse pump in it, got it working again. A 6 volt fuel pump is rather expensive so this one will do for now, Once brakes are fixed i may be selling this truck. I hate to just beat it too hell for a firewood truck, this truck deserves to be restored and I dont have the funds.
