What suspension would you suggest to lower my bh legacy L? I'll take any improvement I can get. I'm trying to do this on a budget.

Please dont tell me to browse the forum, as I'm looking for more of your opinions than anything.

Thanks!

I don't know about budget, but my H&R sport lowering springs work quite well. I am very pleased with them.

That's EXACTLY what this forum IS.

Springs only are your only "budget" item you can do.

Depends entirely on your purposes for the vehicle.

Sometimes you can get a set of used BH Legacy Bilsteins for a really good price, will drop maybe a little more than lowering springs, it's what I use on my 2001 Outback. Bought mine used for 250 dollars and they work great, better than any lowering spring.

^^ only works if you have an outback. OP has a BH L.

Ah, I didn't see that but wouldn't the JDM GT-B suspension still be lower and better performing anyways?

Roger, I think he meant the JDM Bilsteins and the springs, which will definitely drop a USDM BH, regardless whether it's a Legacy or Outback. Not so much of a drop on the Legacy as the Outback, but it WILL drop.

And perform better than lowering springs too with stock shocks or GR-2s, they work very well use the in mountain roads.

personally I don't think there's much of a drop in height between a USDM GT (BH) and a JDM GT-B. The suspension is better on the JDM model but the ride is about the same. There's still a big gap in the front fender.

I back this up because I have stood next to both, driven both, and I haven't grown in 15 years. :D
