98 DOHC phase 1 motor in a 91 Legacy SS 5mt

dropping a EJ25 DOHC into a 91 turbo for the meanwhile , i know i need DOHC manifold -

do i / should i need the EJ25 ECU or is the EJ22T ECU / harness able to run the non-turbo EJ25 with no problem - >

is the EJ25 ECU plug and play with the EJ22T harness ?

yes you need a phase I DOHC manifold. are you running this turbo? you need to run at 6psi max to run safely. obd I subaru ecus that use mitshi chips are pretty capable so im sure it will run it decent.. if you running n/a you will need to wire in most of the harness with 2.5 ecu

i m running no turbo with the 2.5 >> is the 2.5 ecu a "drop in" replacement for the 2.2ecu ?

down the road i aim to use the stock turbo off the ss so i ll be using the 2.2 ecu at some point

no the 2.5 ecu is now were near plug and play. would involve harness splicing and sensor swaping.
