Forza 2: ever had any trouble downloading car gifts?

So my buddy Dogmen has been sending me car gifts to clear out his massive garage but didn't know I wasn't online for weeks - so they've been piling up. I just logged onto Forza 2 and tried to download them at diff. times during the weekend and no dice.

Anyone else had this kind of trouble?

ive had trouble. but not this kind. mine are missing the overlay. so cars are clear or label me as an error cube

I sent an email to Turn10 a few days ago... no luck since then. I'm still playing it, but it's annoying not being able to get gifted cars...
