any idea what this is?

It looks like I'm leaking oil from what looks to be a sensor underneath the alternator but I have never seen it before and dont have a clue as to what it is, here are some pics, any ideas?

yeah that's the oil pressure switch I would recommend taking the alternator out and removing the sensor and cleaning the threads on the sensor so it makes a better seal
