Anyone have luck mating a 3 inch downpipe to a 2.5inch mid? Is there some kind of reducer gasket people use?
If they bolt together you can use a donut gasket but I blew mine every 3 months so I gave up and went 3" all the way back.

^^ without using a reducing flex pipe (and you'd then have to shorten your midpipe to compensate) you're kinda stuck.
For your 2.5GT you should run a 3" exhaust anyway to maximise your flow. Get a tune, golden.

me, but my catback has a reducer built in. If you don't mind cutting your midpipe you can do that.

My mid is really not restrictive, that's why i was hoping to get around replacing it. People have temporarily got around it by using 2 gaskets and gasket sealer glue. I think my only real choice is to get a reducer like below unless someone knows a better way that doesn't require cutting and welding.

i just had the local shop do mine. It was a cheap job, only supposed to last a couple months till i could buy a 3" centre section. You could just wait till you have the full 3"
