I want to encourage people to post post post. I get on the forum 5 or 6 times a day and there is rarely anything new. We need to start new forums and get some of the current ones active!

There's not a lot of activity, but not alot of people are having car problems (thats a good sign), and with winter, its hard to do any kind of cool projects like paint or fabric, and not a whole lot of new mods on the radar. I still haven't seen any new news on the LED light thread. That really interested me, but people bring up ideas and don't follow through.
Plus I think we're all embarrassed to show our cars when xcntrk is around

Dont' scare him off!
Yeah, I try keeping this place going as much as possible, but its true, I can't do a whole lot of projects when its zero degrees out and snowy....I'm still working on little things here and there though :)

If it will make you feel any better, I'll try to start a thread later today to tell the story of my Legacy, and how it should be running by the END OF THE DAY!!!!11

I recently changed the thermostat as the car wasn't heating up when it got cold. I took plenty of pics and could do a write-up, interested ?

definitely. We'd love to see a huge DIY section, that would make our site extremely useful (like scoobymods)

I have a couple of pics of my stut/spring install and would be more than happy to do a full writeup while everything is fresh in my head.
Anyone interested?

Chances are, if you think someone might appreciate a writeup, someone will  If it sucks, Im sure Reason will delete it

I appreciate any writeups, usually because I'm apprehensive to screw something up
If you have a cool DIY idea, or just something standard matienence, post it up!

That would be awesome....although perdue already did one on his car, why don't you look at that, and if its a different procedure, you can write up your version.

Here's my first DIY write-up on how to install a head unit
http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?t=1651
I suggest we break the DIY forum down into categories such as
- motor/drivetrain
- wheels/brakes
- interior
- exterior
- electrical/lighting
- conversions
- car audio/video :)
As the forum grows and more DIY posts are created it will make searching for what you need much easier than going through one huge forum section. I know its made my life easier when I was searching for help on my Jetta.

we will break things down more as we get bigger, but the DIY section isn't so awful big that we can do that yet.
We could break it into two categories: standard matinence and modifications

Good idea about the maintenance vs. mods separation.
