View Full Version : uh oh... need help..
was trying to tighten down the RH camshaft. This is the unloaded camshaft, i noted it had some forward backwards play in it.
Well when i went to torque it down, it skipped.. a few times.
The crank did not turn with it as it was being held down with a pry bar in the fly wheel.. what's happened now..?

was the crank at the alignment mark? i wouldnt worry about it since subarus dont align at #1 @ TDC on the alignment marks pistons sit about at half stroke
it's an EJ22 but a 97, so its an interference motor.
The crank rotated a bit with the cam the prybar in the drive plate locked it up, but yes more or less it was at the alignment mark but off by a few degrees.
I guess if its mid stroke, i should be okay.
