Strut Bar

Hello Everyone,

I just recently bought a 95 Legacy L AWD (BD6) and I have been searching for a site (not eBay) to pick up a Front Strut Bar (Had one in my Honda Civic and absolutely loved having it). I have had no luck with finding one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

And even though it isnt chassis or suspension, anyone know of a site to also pick up a short ram air intake?

I have done a search here for the strut bar, went though the first few pages and have come up with not much of anything. Its probably me just searching the wrong way...lol.

personally I would get a rear sway bar before a strut brace there about the same price

short ram-weapon R is the only one I can think of right now I don't know a site beside eBay where to get it either and its probably only guna give u less than 5hp if anything

a few new questions then.
I went to rallitek and they dont have the the 2nd gen legacy listed. Does one of the other generations (or i guess impreza parts) fit my legacy?

With the air intake thats kinda costly for little hp. could i just get an adapter plate so i can hook up my old cone filter (its a k&n cleanable one)? If so, any site for just that?

Do the imprezas and legacys with the 2.2L engine share most parts (maybe thats why im no getting any results)?

The front strut bar you want will fit the 90-04 Legacy and 03-01 Impreza.

My strut braces cost all of $50 total from ebay. They work just as well as name brand items for what I do - daily driving and spirited runs.

i got a generic strut bar and it works perfectly

for the short ram, if you wanna do it cheap and not care what it looks like, take out the intake up to and including the filter box and replace it with a cone filter...i had my car like that for a bit and it worked nicely

i think thats what im gonna do for the intake for now. all the intakes i have seen cost way too much (this is considering i just bought the car, im alittle broke).

im looking to spend about >70 on a strut bar, thats all my budget will allow. any ideas?

Impreza 95-05 will bolt up. Just make sure the mounting brackets aren't any higher than 4" otherwise you won't be able to close your hood.

mines from a gc...i had to turn it so it curves front so i could close my hood

i got cusco front and rear ones on the classified, used for about $230, but there brand name thats why there so much. just go for some ebay ones they will work the same as the brand name stuff :smt023

I dont know if the 93 Legacy can use the same stuff or not.

if they can i have some great options below. that is if they would work even on my Legacy.
