need to change brakes

Back in april my brake pedal lost pressure and now I have to push it to the bottom of the floor to stop it. The brake reservoir is at minimum and someone told me not to put more in because there is probably a problem with the lines or booster. Checked the brake valve to see if pressure would return and it didn't. What would happen if I putted more brake fluid in? Any advice on how to fix the situation?

Sounds like you're losing brake fluid so what you need to do first is find the source and resolve the leak. Check all your brake lines and the whole system. If you just put more fluid in you haven't solved the problem.
