so as some of you know i got a 91 wagon for free. got a blinking power light(will figure that out later) what the hell is the 2 dipsticks for?

Front one on the passenger side is for the front diff, which takes gear oil. The long sucker on the driver side (which may not be long in a '91) is for the transmission, which takes ATF.

Check the color of the fluid on the sticks to be sure. If it's red it's ATF of course, and if it's yellow or brown and smells like a butthole, it's gear oil. :wink:

thats what i was thinking. well back to cleaning and putting transmission back into one peice. thanks for the info.

well i put some lucas tranny addative, and the light didnt come on. hmm makes my wonder if it was just low. might need to change the fluid its binging in tight turns.
