Just wanted to know if anyone has put a 2001 or similar radio/cd changer into a 95 legacy? I found a few cheap ones but I dont want to buy if they wont fit/work right.

uuuummmm, I dont' think the 95 Legacy Tape/CD decks have CD changer support. If you go aftermarket deck, you can have your choice.

you could have better sound quality by simply adding an aftermarket deck and new components in the doors and rear deck...

Exactly, but also to consider... Aftermarket decks will NOT work with OEM changers... Much to my dislike. :x

you could probably get a 2000-2004 deck on ebay, those seem to be the most common.

Tell me about it  I have my Eclipse HU installed to suport my ipod and a completely useless OE cd changer occupying my 3rd DIN slot. I'm pretty sure that there would be a way to wire it to make it work since my HU has cd changer control, but it would take some serious wire work that I don't have the time for. Not to mention that the iPod kinda eliminates the need for a six-disc changer anyway.

Yes sadly my Superu doesn't support the changer, anyone know of an easy way to wire it up to make it work?
(btw im a freshman in college with almost no money to work with, thats why im trying to get the Subaru changer on ebay for pretty cheap instead of going all out on an aftermarket HU)

Yeah, looks like there maybe enough room to fit a 7" LCD though if you take out the compartment and the CD changer... What I may do and install a car-PC. :-D

It would easily fit. I just have way to many other things I want for my car right now that take precedence over it. It is tempting though

You could get a changer (probably not OEM) with an FM transmitter, but there's really no inputs on the stock headunit. Sorry, aftermarket is the way to go for easy wiring and options. :(

any new wrx head unit (in dash 6 disk changer) will work in your 95 BD. I have a 2004 WRX unit in my 95. It bolts up, fits perfectly and plug in using all the stock plugs. I think I paid 140 shipped for it 6 months ago. later, Tim
