Just a quick documentation of LanEvo seats fitting into a Legacy. These are a pretty popular upgrade even by STi owners who seem to not be happy with their stock seats. The bases from a WRX/STi can be used, as well as the ones made for the GC imprezas. However, just like fitting the WRX seats into a Legacy, you may have a seat that sits an inch taller in the front, depending on the seat base you use, and how you cut the brackets. The Wedge Engineering bases required some drilling and cutting to get the angle of the seat base just right to user preference, as well as to fit the bolt pattern of the sliders (according to Wedge, each Evo Recaro seems to have a different spacing for the slider bolts so you'll need to measure yours out before you order from them...or get blanks and drill it yourself, like I did). I ended up sitting just like I did when I had my 03 WRX seats, a little more tilt in the front and sitting slightly higher...my butt is wedge into the seat pretty good :smt005
If you're anal about the seat position relative to the controls and gauges, you're going to be like me and be taking the seat in and out several times for adjustment before you're finally happy. Best way I found to get the seats in quickly is to go seat base first into the car, tilt the whole deal towards you and slide the whole seat into the car. You can position to align over the 4 base holes afterwards.

Rest of the pics: I ended up using a Sparco seat base for the passenger (again WRX fitment). There isn't a tilt adjustment built into the base like the wedge, though you can get longer hex screws and the right length metal spacers to adjust seat height and tilt. The passenger sits a little lower and more towards the center of the car...WRC co-driver style
