JDM steering wheel

Question if I wanted to replace the wheel on my 95 legacy with a JDM of some various year would I have an issue with the airbag connection?

This was just brought up a few times recently and it would seem that as long as you stay model year '97 and below you should be fine. Meaning find a wheel from a '95-'97 Legacy.

You'll need an airbag from a car made before they changed to the low-power airbag in 98. 97 or earlier USDM Legacy and Impreza models probably fit this bill, and I'm sure there are JDM models out there as well.
