I'm guessing thats the engine, itself, bottom end, heads, intake, etc, no harness, water pump, AC, nothing. Thats about on par with stuff on ebay of that price. I've been looking for WRX drivetrains ;)
Those trannies arent priced bad either.

Mmmm, I wonder how much boost that ER27 can take with turbo pistons...
Yeah, agreed, looks right. Gonna buy an engine?

2 questions, first any idea how much hp the ej20tt is making and second would that drop right in a normal n/a legacy

Probably around 275HP, depending on the engine variant, maybe more (because of the gentleman's agreement in Japan). Would it just drop right in? Yes. would you be able to steer it? Not without serious modification, the power steering lines are on the right in that engine. Plus wiring'd be a beotch.

If you really want to push high HP numbers, I have been told that the single turbo setup is the way to go. Someone please correct me if my memory is failing...
As for the numbers, I am not really sure. Any of our International counterparts, feel free to chime in! :D

You're basically right. Twin turbos setups are usually designed to reduce low-end lag instead of boost high-end power...

The TT setups are extremely hard to put into LHD cars. I think it's more then just the PS lines. The rack is different too iirc. Buy a RHD mail wagon and you're good to go though. :-D

The're 280hp motors. Here's a couple of facts that may burst you bubble.
1) Its a major job to fit a TT JDM motor to RHD setup
2) The TT motor is not suited to North American driving. You'd hate it.
3) The twin turbo setup suffers from what's called "The valley of death". That's the point at which the first turbo maxes out and the delay before the 2nd turbo kicks in.
4) A WRX swap with light mods will be cheaper, easier to source parts and probably more reliable.
Trust me, I nearly had a *&# when I saw a TT 97 Legacy for sale in the UK. Had me thinking of a swap right away until I dug and did some research.

The TT uses 'inline' turbos, not parallel.
Go with a single turbo setup. Simpler, cheaper, more power.
