12V cargo power socket

today I brought a socket for the cargo area at walmart I need to run the + lead to the battery so it's always getting power which way would be the shortest run of wire and how could I route the wire from the rear?

The socket will be on the rear right side of the cargo area.

You could just pull one from an Outback, they came with them standard.
Maybe you could take it straight back and tie it in with the power for the taillights. Or the license plate lights (the lights would have to be on for the plug to work). Or run it up under the doorsills and tie it in with the front plug socket.

but I don't want to tie it with the front plug socket since it goes on and off with the key.. plus I have to vampire tap the one in the front anyways when I get around to adding a 2nd one to the front.

You know they make splitters right? That have their own fuses and such?

I know they make splitters.. but I don't want to split like that.. it's hard to understand the socket in the front when I get to that area would be flush mounted.
