Found this on DealExtreme a while back, allows you to interface with your ECU through your Palm, WinMo, Laptop. Pretty cheap too @ $54 shipped. I'll probably nab this so I can keep track of my fuel trims for my secret project.

About that project of yours, I guess that you have not required to create any device driver for the dongle, haven't you?

If so, did you get any developer information from the maker? Can I ask you, in a general way, how the dongle works? I mean:
- I guess you hook it up wirelessly linking to the device using the BT interface
- And then? Is it a "standard" serial port? Did you install anything on the handheld or does it simply see the dongle as a serial device and you simply read streams of data from it?
