Today while turning right a loud high pitch squeal came about. It stopped once I stopped at a stoplight and when I accelerate it starts up again. I opened up my hood and thought my belts were dry because of the weather changing from hot to cold. So I got some belt dressing and applied it on the belt. It cured it for a while and the noise came back. Now I think its the power steering fluid needs to be flushed... what else could it be? Also, when I turn my steering really tight it the noise will come back and also when I start the car the noise will appear and disappear alittle after it starts!!!! HELP ME!

I'd say it'd time to replace the serp. belt...

Belt dressing is ALWAYS a temp. solution.

Everytime I use that stuff it only keeps it from squealing for a little while and then seems to come back way worse than before... when was the last time you changed your belts???

belt dressing should not be used on modern belts just to let you know

Replace belts.

And check the power steering fluid.

Just got the belts last year. But I went ahead and replace them and replace my power steering fluid and it went away. Thank guys!

try loosening the alternator and pulling it up while retightening it down. I had a problem with a squeal like that and thats what fixed it.
