Does anyone know much work would be involved in swapping a 2000-2002 BH OUtback Bumper cover onto a 2000 BH Legacy L Wagon?
Is it a straight forward swap or would I have to change bumper support, fenders, hood, grille, etc?
I've searched but found nothing on BH's.
If anyone can help, it'd be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Juan
In the USDM, all 2000-2004 Legacy, Outback and Baja front end body parts will cross over. It doesn't matter sedan (BE) or wagon (BH), they all bolt up perfectly.
All the hoods, fenders, grille, etc. mount the same, just some are a different style than others. For example, my 2000 L consists of an 04 Baja hood, an 03 Legacy bumper, an 03 Legacy grille, 02 Outback headlights, and 01 Outback rocker mouldings. Little that is left of my front end came from the factory.
I know Airgne and a few other members here have put an Outback front bumper on their Legacy without any trouble at all, so I don't see why one wouldn't fit your car. It should be a straight swap.

the mounts are nto all the same, but yes it is easy to put in on your car. the only issue i have(and its not a big one) is the fender well liner dones not match up good. it still does its job. also fasteners under the grill do not all match up. this is not a bug deal. i just zip tied them to the car. i learned after much money spent on fiberglass work(body kits and crashing while drifting do not mix) that zip ties will break before your body parts do. this means less money spent on repairs. look at my members rides for what it looks like. i say go for it. i think the outback bumper is the best bumper on the BE/BH body.
