So today me and Phritter drove to the Bronx to pick up his new 4 pots. they came with a new set of blank OE rotors. we installed his new 4 pots but used 4 new OE rotors he bought within the previous week. (02 wrx)
I needed to install new rotors on my car also (99 leggy gt). So we checked online if his 02 wrx OE rotors would fit my car. EHHHH they were too big. they ended up being 11.2" instead of 10.3" that mine were. But when scanning google search, we found out I can upgrade my rotors to his size just be changing the caliper bracket!!! They use the same bolt pattern and same caliper as my car but the bracket is slightly longer allowing for a larger caliper. SO WOOT! i installed the new brackets and rotors in like 20 minutes. MINT! here are some pictures of my before/after. I only have before pictures of phritter's so i will take diff pictures tomorrow and post a new thread. I plan on upgrading the rear rotors to the H6 upgrade also within the week! and upgrading all 4 rotors to drilled/slotted. black zinc plated.
brake feel has improved. it isnt much tighter, but a much smoother consistent stopping power, which feels much better than before
(ps Ignore the silverness of the new rotors. the kid who sold em with the 4 pots painted them silver. the paint wore of real fast)
