What are things I could do to improve? What is everyone getting in their bd or bg mpg wise? I'm debating on a new fuel filter?

Basic maintenance.

- synthetic oil
- spark plugs/wires
- air filter
- fuel filter
- clean out throttle body
- set correct tire pressure
- get rid of excess dead weight
- can of seafoam in gas tank
- light foot on gas pedal
- a/c off

people range 23-27 avg, depending on what your driving (hwy/city) and how you drive
im not a believer in synthetic oil. in the point of it improve anything but wear. on true synthetic oils, not that modified dyno oil that most synthetics are.

synthetic oils are a joke, and it says in the subie user manual not to use synthetic oils.

one thing I would do is change out the O2 sensors if they are original and have some mileage on them.

My 95 BK stock got better gas mileage than the 98 BK ever did - both were EJ22s with 5-speeds. I got 25mpg mostly city driving and it was over 30 on pure highway driving. And I don't drive slow.

My gas mileage has been suffering too. I'm changing my plugs this week and need to get new air and fuel filters. I can say that Seafoam in the tank helps a bit.

I suffer from bad mileage too.
i get like 20 mixed. plugs look new (new wires atleast), fuel filter and air filter are new, ECU has been reset.

i just did seafoam so im gonna wait on results of that. car seems alot smoother after doing it.
i plan on doing the o2 sensor then.

Yeah, just did my plugs and wires. So I will try fuel filter, air filter, o2 sensors and a can of seafoam. What cone filter is best for CAI? A foam one or paper one? Anyone knows?

get a k&N cleanable filter. thats what i have had since my civic. its still going well.
