Okay. My tech was busy today so I was unable to get a decent answer from him.

My drivers side window has stopped working a while back and I eventually traced it to the switch being bad. Window would go down, but not up. Big problem, So I just clipped the wires for that window making it inoperable. Yesterday I had some time, so i took the rear drivers switch ( clipped,) and spliced it in place of the front switch, same result. will go down, not up( can reverse the switch and will go up not down. So I got frustrated and wired the rear switch back in place, and tied off the clipped front wires so the window doesnt go down on accident.

After this a relay has started clicking and now the windows wont work at all. I unplug the main switch from the harness and the clicking stops, so I know I faulted something in that system. I have not attepmted changing the fuse as I was mega furious at this point and it was hot.

At anyrate, what have I got going on? could soething be wrong with the motor? Something wrong with the harness? Something wrong with the motor? Of course my interior fuse box cover is gone so i couldnt even guess at which fuse is the window fuse to begin to test it.

with the lack of function and relay clicking while the switch is plugged in I am led to believe I did something wrong somewhere and I am just frustrated with power windows and I am really very close to wanting to swap doors, but I figured I would try and get an educated guess on this before I start throwing parts at it.

thanks guys

Kyle

I have a similar issue... well kinda. This might be considered a thread jack... My driver's window automatic roll-down is busted. If I let it roll itself down, it doesn't really stop at the bottom. It sits there and electrically "strains" itself (ie. is drawing a load on the system trying to continue rolling down). It seems to cycle until I realize that it's doing it and I have to wait for it to finish its "cycle" before I can bump it up a touch and bump it back down "manually". I have learned to deal with it, but I am wondering if there is a switch at the bottom I can just replace. I don't have the schematics for the auto-down system. Anybody have some insight?
