Feel like a total jackass after this one. Went to seafoam my '98 2.5L engine and took off the 90deg tube from the pcv valve and went to pour it in. I've seafoamed it before correctly, don't know why I FUBAR'ed this one, but I poured the can in the opposite way it should have went (took the tube off the pcv valve and poured it downward, don't know where this goes??? see pic). My question is, will this damage anything? Where did all the fluid go, since it obviously didn't make it's way into the intake mani? Or will it just get sucked into there eventually anyways? It almost appears as if it went into the block and ended up in the oil. Dunno, just guessin'. Any help is appreciated.

It's ok - Seafoam is fine to be added to your oil as well. You will want to do an oil change in about 100miles though.

I drove it about 10 miles and changed the oil already, kinda thought that's where it would end up.

Seafoam is an industrial cleaner, almost like varnish I guess, you can add it to your crankcase (like posted above, change oil w/in 100 or so miles), added to the fuel tank to clean the lines/injectors, or added through a vacuum line like I TRIED to do via PCV valve. That way is trickier, you need to add it when the car is running, and keep up the revvs because when slowly added the seafoam will bog down the engine. Add the whole can through the PCV valve then shut off the car and let it sit for 1-12 hours, depending on how old/dirty your shizzle is. Then start it back up and drive it for a while, but do it in an open area as it will be smoking like crazy!!!! White thick smoke is common for a while while it's clearing out all the crap. Should notice a bit of a difference after you've done this, if you don't, repeat the process.
