Nice.. how does it ride? What you pay for it? RWD im guessing, since its not an 'x' model?

Love these cars. When they're done right they're amazing (and when not driven by d-bags).

rides good. Handles great. RWD FTW.

They never offered an AWD X model on the E36 chassis in the US that I know of.

Clean E36. M3?

Yes.

E36 touring would have been my first choice. The one BW did up for the ultimate street car challenge is insane.

My car is a '92 325i.

How reliable are these cars? I personally like the old school 88 325's.. i actually saw an 'x' model for sale around here with AWD. bet that eats gas . Maybe if i move somewhere nicer i will consider a bmw.. but, i'm just wondering how reliable / how much they break. anyone?

http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=97521 91 I sold for my BG

Had a 89 and a 91 325i. If you have a minimal amount of mechanical skills and some wiring knowledge youll be fine. These were the first BMWs to use "true" fuel injection so the system is pretty straightforward. More so than any Subaru Ive seen. Great cars. I only came to subaru because I needed AWD and more space. Didnt want to drive my E30 in the winter since it was so low. Had it been stock ride height with a set of snows, and not so clean and rust free, maybe things would be different.

I'd stay away from a E30 AWD model for sure. Both are reliable if maintained... but lost more little stuff to go bad on E30/E36 or any bimmer for that matter compared to subaru's. Parts for them are much more reasonable than subaru in many cases too.

I am part owner of an E30 track rat/toy '87 325is. It's got some sweet plans for the off season.

And this is my auto-x ride I setup over winter and am codriving w/ the owner this season.

I found BMW after being die hard subaru. Still like both equally. Prefer a bimmer for pure driving.

Wow, I love the E30 M's. They can really get out there and scream. lol Not to mention they can get really tail happy. I have been trying to get my step dad to get a E30 or E36 as a track car...... But that does not reallly fit with the Subaru image.......... lol Oh well. Nice rides.

Omahasubaru, it craks me up to see your E30 and M3 here....it's almost as if E30 nuts and Subarus go hand in hand!

OP, nice car. A friend of mine's got a very nice autox/HPDE 92 325is that embarasses M3s regularly. It's just too bad I don't have enough money to mod both my Subaru and my E30.

M3 isn't mine. just what I've setup and am competing in w/ the car owner this year.

nice bimmer! I'm a fan of the round headlights, but I'm biased... I own an E34.

I'd really like to have time/money to do a nice E28 or E34.
