Hi everyone. Just joined your site and from a little bit of quick browsing I'm glad I did. I'm no stranger to car related forums but this is my first Subaru related forum.

I am a 19 (almost 20) year old college student attending RIT. My main interests are in cars (if that wasn't obvious, I'm here aren't I), manga & anime, and computers. I currently have a 1998 Legacy Outback. This car was originally purchased by my mother when it was about 1-2 years old. She recently purchased a 1 year old 2008 Impreza sedan and I ended up driving the Outback as my previous daily driver suffered a blown engine. The legacy has to be one of my favorite cars. If I can afford to I'd like to purchase a newer Legacy spec.B in a few years. I currently reside in CT with my parents however I soon will be moving to my own apartment in NY near school.

A bit of my car history for those who care. Originally I had a 1991 Mazda Protege which I got while in middle school, I learned some basics working on it but by the time I got my learners permit the car was so rusted out I was forced to scrap it. I did gain a strong interest in the protege platform and ended up replaced it with a 1996 Ford Escort which was based on the Protege chassis. I drove the Escort from when I got my license until the engine blew up right before my second year of college started. I went without a car until my mother replaced this legacy with a newer Impreza and let me use the outback. I also have a 2000 Ford ZX2 S/R as a project car that I purchased about a month before the Escort blew, but the car has been incomplete since I got it and I couldn't use it. The project car I intend to possibly use for autox racing. My father and I also share two boats: a 25' Privateer, and a 19' Bayliner.

I'll stop boring everyone and bring out some pictures.
First the Legacy Outback:

And my current project car:

I'll post more information on the two cars I currently own and my plans for them later on in the project forums. Please take care of me :notworthy:

Welcome to the SLi

Its always nice to see another deep sapphire blue outback (BG)

Scrap the ford and autox the legacy  You'll find a better selection of upgrades and you get to ride with AWD status.

I find it funny that all 4 of my cars are BG chassis. I have a BG Legacy. Also the chassis code for the Mazda Protege is BG, both Escorts are the same chassis, Ford calls it CT-120 but same as Mazda BG.

I am from CT but I am planning on moving to upstate NY for school in a few months. Maybe the CT crew can have some kind of meet this summer. Would be fun.

Not sure what I am doing with the ZX2 S/R, it is a rare performance edition but not sure how much I really care to keep it. I may sell it to fund some mods for the Outback, although I want to do a full Alpine audio setup and possibly JDM headlights converted to HID. While I do plan on taking the Outback to AutoX I don't plan on specifically modifying it for such as I need and want it to be a reliable and comfortable daily driver.
