just wondering how wide i can go on tires before i rub? i notice that even with my suspension set-up right now, i barely have room for width wise? just wondering if 215 will rub or not! thanks

well it helps to know what you drive....

215s is usually the widest you can clear. (w/o rolling the feanders)

225 with a fender roll just in case.

Current suspension setup might not have the correct wheel offset.

Legacies are quite particular with tire clearances.

Legacy runs 225/45/17's and barely rubs.

225/55/16 on the Forester. I could probably fit 245's under that sumbitch if I had a little less offset!

The widest you can go without any rubbing on a BD is 215. The offset of the wheel will be a big factor on whether you will rub or not... i.e. I've run 17x7.5 +53 w/215/45/17 and didn't rub, however my current setup of 17x7 +45 w/215/45/17 required me to roll the fenders a bit.

Stock LGT rims are +53 IIRC.

I bet you could fit a 17x7.5 + 48 rimwith a 225/45/17 and only have slight rubbing issues.

XNTRCK is running some Rota SDR's which have those rims specs, though I don't know what size tires he is running.

Stock GT wheels are 16x6.5 +55.

i'm running the 225/40 18's 55 offset on my stock suspension and it's fine, no rubbing whatsoeva.
