Just found out about this today, money goes to a good cause, and I'll be in Chicago that night... if not at 9AM when the parade starts....

might be.. they seem to want to have it in the place that seems remote.

If they had it in the North East then maybe...

I look at it as a more CENTRAL location. Shit, there's people from east, west, and south coming to this.

But yeah, midwest isn't exactly Subaru country.....

Except for the fact that the Indiana plant is about 40mins away. ;)

Yeah no kidding Bloomington IN had a very high concentration of Subarus - proximity of the plant and the generally hippie college-town population I think are factors. I rolled into the local Bloomingfoods and there was the largest impromptu Legacy meet I've ever been to. My Legacy was right at home next to over half a dozen Outbacks/Legacy wagons.

As far as sales figures go I heard the midwest ain't that grand. At least compared to the East Coast.

Well It is done and over with. We Completed our task and got the world record! There were quite a lot of Legacys 4dr and wagons alike. It was great being escorted by not 1 but 2 police intorceptor STI's I will get pics and some video up later on tonight. they aren't that great quality but atleast it's something.

^ they generally don't, not in the US anyway, there is a squadron of them in the UK tho as well as a group of EVOs.. My guess is that the STis that were there were from the UK but idk.

we had several guys down from MN to go to this thing, sounds like it was a good time.

It wasn't. But then again there WAS no record to beat, only set. So 30 cars would have been fine.

Give them more time, better planning, they could double if not triple the number.....

Oh well. Hey, rest of my 120 pics are here: http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h121/ ... %20Parade/ (http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h121/Benfolio/Subaru%20Parade/)

I've been in bloomington for the last year, and I think there are more legacy's and impreza's than any other import car, especially wagons.

There are also a TON of Bajas out there. went down there on day, saw one right as I came into town, another when I driving through town and two passed me while I was having lunch on the south side.

Not gonna lie...of all the places i've been, colorado has by far the most subarus. Especially in Boulder and Fort Collins, the college towns. I'd be willing to be that with only Colroado drivers alone, we could top several thousand to show up for a meet like this.

I'm not sure but I do know who that is. That car looks nothing like that now. It's got a WRX swap and is a little higher with an all flat black paint job.
