First, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Ken & I've been into Subarus for about 4 years now & I still don't know too much about them :P I'm doing my best to learn & I can say that L models are extremely easy to work on! LOL! I would like an STi but I'll settle for the freak we have.
I ended up CarFaxing it & it turns out that the L was a rental car until 2003, when it was bought by my future father in law & then passed on to his daughter & I.
Here are some pics of it. The first ones will be of it's previous condition before the new front end.
From last year to a week ago.

I ended up getting a '98 Outback for $350 w/everything minus the motor (it even has the 5 speed still), heated seats & heated mirrors which I am currently trying to figure out how to wire up into the L along with the foglights (which are currently there to direct airflow away from the wheel housings. The outback bumper would exactly fit on properly so I had to make some 'adjustments'. I also had to wire in the '98 headlights as they were not the same as the '97s (single piece units). Around my area, the parts for my kind of Legacy were becoming scarce so I ended up getting a parts car to suffice.

Anyways, it's nice to meet you all & I'm looking forward to learning from all of you!
