Feel free to add to it...

1.) You are more likely to have someone cut you off because you drive a wagon

2.) people tend to want to race you for some unknown reason (happened many of times)

3.) refer to number one

Just some stuff I noticed being a first time wagon owner I know when I had the forester it was not that bad.. I feel like doing a EJ22 build running 5 psi :smt004

impreza_GC8

4.) People get more upset after you beat them than if you were driving anything other than a wagon.

5.) If you happen to lose you have the eternal excuse of "well thats not saying much, its just a wagon"

+1 for the power slides. the rear sway bar is so thin and the 14inch steel wheels have absolutely no grip when sliding around a corner. add the e-brake and then things get really crazy

i get cut off too.. pissed.. makes me wanna get a new car, but i stick with the wagon! i was able to keep up with a V8 dodge durango in a stoplight race the other night, still lost tho, which meant #5 came in handy! :smt023 wagons FTW

Benfolio

+1 some more for powerslides. I get mine way sideways doing a u-turn in front of traffic (I have plenty of room, don't worry) after I leave my bank every other week. And while I've done this plenty of times in my sedan, I never got AS sideways as I did in the wagon, and no one ever looked at me funny at the next stoplight like they do when I'm doing it with a wagon.

And getting cut off. That's starting to piss me off. I miss the old days when I was rolling a Police White '98 Crown Vic. That car got RESPECT on the highway.

haha I remember the first time I got the wagon sideways it had just started raining.. I said to myself "lets see if the center diff still has some life"

lol turned out pretty good I still miss having a rear LSD as weak as the stock Subaru one was...

8.)People who normally wouldn't own a Wagon, Start hunting them down after seeing there endless potential to drop jaws in every category. From the JDMarket Wagons, to the Franken Wagons, to Teh Don and then some. :smt023

9.) Your kids are actually happy to tell their friends, "My Dad drives a Wagon!"

10.) You can actually have your cake and eat it to... All the space, performance and grip :smt023

Depends on which sedan. I've always had wagons but my Fleetwood, being the longest regular production vehicle ever built, does haul more people and cargo than the Legacy wagon. I do kinda wish I had the related Roadmaster wagon instead though...

* You know for a fact you have the coolest looking wagon ever. I mean come on.. it's got a hood scoop. I mean for a 1998 it just looks mean and classy at the same time.

* Every Honda with a 4 inch can muffler wants to race you for some damn reason.

* People do double takes or just stare at your car because every one has seen a Subaru at some point in time but you never see a lot of Legacy GT wagons.

Now that the Legacy is turbocharged the Fleetwood actually gets better gas mileage on the highway - over 25 mpg.

I have noticed the same phenomena. People around me seemed to not even notice I existed on the road until I got a turbo motor, 3" exhaust, and a wrong-colored hood. Or maybe I drive by everyone so fast nobody has time to do anything stupid?

These wagon owners must of never driven a sedan before  Body-roll and weight distribution are the wagons flaws.

I'v had the chance to drive these so called "amazing" wagons, a BK Brighton GT @ 3.9FD, BK GT @ 4.11FD w/ suspension mods and roll bars and a BG @ 4.44 stock. Most of the mafia will argue but both the bk's and the bg handled like sloppy seconds compared to a stock BD.

But hey I am a sedan guy ... but don't get me wrong I'll own a bk/bg later this year to replace my bd as a DD.

seeing as I WORK AT SUBARU yes ive driven both, and I found myself being able to push the wagon harder into corners, especially on the 05+ legacy wagons.

hell even the impreza TS wagons handle great compared to their sedan counter parts.

Benfolio

I've had both and with the same sway bar setup and tires (different struts but they don't matter that much in what I'm about to compare) and the wagon will step out under power much easier than the sedan would.

40. (is that the right number??) You can fit most of a sedan's parts in the back of a wagon. :smt019

The utility of a wagon just cannot be beat. I miss that about my Mazdaspeed3...that and the 300hp. Something about a car that can haul 8 wheels/tires in the back and do 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds.... Oh well, can't afford to own one and modifiy it.

The MS3 wasn't as much of a sleeper as a modded Legacy wagon can be, but it still got some stares as I did accidental burnouts or ripped around 90* street corners at 30mph without chirping the tires.
