Should I? My friend has a can of spray tint and Im curious as to how people would think it would look. I was thinking about doing the whole thing, or maybe just the orange and white parts. BTW, my car is white.

Are you talking about that nite shade stuff. I saw a thread on that somewhere but I can't remember where. It looked pretty good.

It may have been here before the crash?

Yeah, something like the nite shade stuff. Heres what painting the orange and white would look like

I dont want it too dark though because Id fail inspection.

it looks good on that car, but that's also much darker in color than your white legacy.... :? can you photoshop it first?

I know this isn't exactly the same, but heres a set of smoked wagon tails on a white car. (color code 51E) Note that the lights are OEM, not painted.

IMHO it looks great on white cars, but I suggest tinting the windows to complete the look.

Just for the fun of it, clear tails. yum yum
http://img75.echo.cx/img75/4025/cleartails5ug.jpg

I think I like having it all tinted, or everything but the reverse tinted.

i agree with you on both instances....
the tinted windows would complete the whole look and i like either all the lights tinted or all but the reverse lights.

sha_zapple: You are correct, they are JDM, but there are two different versions of this "clear" style. The earlier 94-95 (zenki) version is Red and Clear, and the later 96-97 (kouki) version is Red and Smoke. I can't recall ever seeing the Kouki lights on eBay, I think most people don't know theres a difference.

sheepdog: I can get them, but the garnish is a PITA to pack because of the odd shape plus the probability of breakage is very high due to the sharp ends. After all of that I've found the hassle it really isn't worth my time (its not that I'm greedy or lazy, but I'd rather be selling things that are easier to handle and have time for other things) and again, I'm not sure enough people know about the Kouki version for there even to be a demand for it.

sha_zapple - i guess it just depends on where you live. here it's about 160 to get five windows done in 15% :?

dunno if this'll help, but heres pics of my white BE before and after tinted tail lights...I think it looks a lot sexier with tinted tails(of course they're OEM JDM, not nite shades, but same difference essentially):

before:

after(kinda crappy pictures because it was dark out:

How much would you want for a set of kouki tails shipped to 98502 (not TOO far across the puddle... :-D )
