after swapping from my 1995 2.2L to my JDM EJ25DE, on the first drive after finished it was sluggish and hesitant from a stop, like it was choking.. its not as bad now but its still there vaguely ..i'd like to get rid of that feel... about 20 miles later i get the P0106 code and dont know why.. ive been drivin for about 250 miles with it on...

i didn't swap intake manifolds to a usdm one since i didnt have an egr on the last motor

im not sure if this one has an egr, or what is causing this code, i seafoamed the gas tank and the oil but have no clue where to put it in the engine from the jdm intake manifold...

another thing, it was dropped, or it rolled off the pallet sometime during shipping, the timing belt cover is cracked and the grey plug connecting to the brown thing to the right of the intake inlet slides in and out

If all your sensors are not hooked up, or expecting a signal that isn't there, that's why.

hey, when i bought mine it had this code, there are two vacuum switches/sensors on the passenger side strut tower, i kept getting P0106, ended up running the vacuum sensor(the one with one hose) directly to the intake manifold, and bam, code went away. apparently the vacuum sensor is supposed to go through the "pressure switching valve"

so i guess that means my switching thing is bad, but my codes went away, ive been meaning to go to the junkyard and find another switching valve..

just a thought, hope it helps. good luck.
