throttle body size?

What is the internal diameter of the bore of the stock throttle body of the EJ253 on the 2001 Subaru Legacy/Outback? Mainly want this information, because I'll be looking to make the pipes of my hybrid intake the same size or close to it.

I think all the H4's are 2.75" and the H6 is 3".

I think thats OD, IIRC, the walls were around 3mm thick and tapers to the tb plate...the taper varies on different h4's too.

I only measured the thickness of the walls when I p and p'ed my tb so he can do a little math and figure out the size from the two things we gave him. :smile:

Thanks for the info, It'd be kinda cool if you could put the H6 TB on the H4, but I wonder if the size would help or just make performance suck.

It would only help if you have some serious high-rpm mods. Stock 2.5 one is good, 435 CFM. Besides, H6 uses DBW I think so the swap could be very complicated.
