sup guys just got a killer deal ( i hope ) on a 91 Legacy LSI. It doesnt run the former owner didnt know why and just wanted it gone so i picked up a pretty clean, rust free former cali car, for $100 :) I dont know if anything else is wrong but i do know the starter is completely crap, it either doesnt do anything, or makes a horrible grinding noise, so hopefully tomorrow, with the help of some instruckings if i can find em here, ill be changing the starter and driving it home :)

Hey, we'll see if we can help you out!

100 dollars on any car is a good deal, a rust free car...well, you could part that LSI out and end up making a profit, if nothing else, but the engine shouldn't be messed up, so I think you can get it running.

Welcome to SLi :D

Yea i got a good deal definately, it should be ok it only has 140k on it but if i do end up parting out the leather interiors gotta be worth a bit more then 100 right? I do hope its fine though id like to use it for atleast a winder ride, keep it clean and sell it in the spring.

interior, taillights, headlights, engine components, it could all go if the car is totally messed up, but I doubt it is, not much can ruin a subaru unless they took a jackhammer to the engine bay.

yeah, mine has some rust.... on the engine. It's all good, though. (the pervious owner lived in new england, so i imagine it has survived through harsher winters than here in virginia).

You can buy remanufactured starters from your local dealership...or grab one from a junkyard.

Welcome and GOodluck!

well the starter was toast but something else is wrong the new starter works 100% but the same thing happens, seems like the flywheel is either missin teeth? or frozen. Im gonna just put it up for sale.
