the WRX rear works directly on wagons. I have the same one as Huffer.
The front from WRX will work, but you need to swap the ends around since the bolt patterns are exactly opposite. The bar still faces the correct way, but the ends are swapped.
NOTE: a Cusco Front bar from an 03 WRX DID NOT fit on my GT with the stock airbox, but with my ebay intake, fit great.
ANOTHER NOTE: I did not buy said bar since said guy wanted like $175 for it LOCAL......
well, i just bought these 2:
Front (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=360169292831)
Back (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=230325179179)
so we'll see how it goes
so any year of impreza strut bar will fit on a BK legacy wagon? front and rear?

Just did mine. eBay, solid steel, for an 03 Impreza. My car is a 95 BK Legacy Wagon.

Talked to a structural engineer who designs these things: as long as it's tight and rigid, it should matter. Besides, it wouldn't go on the other way, as it wouldn't clear the hood. I have put two straight ones on my other Audis, so the rigidity seems to be the only concern.

He also cut his hood, something I wouldn't do or recommend.

To be clear, any modification to a structural/safety part of the car (hood) can result in your insurance dropping you for any claims. I used to work at an insurance agency and saw this happen.
