I went to the drag strip for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had a pretty fun time. I'm wondering if any of you guys have tried it before, and if so, what kind of times/trap speeds did you run.

Best 1/8th: 10.561 @ 66.07
Best 1/4th: 16.486 @ 83.55

In entire stock except for some headers.

1/8th 10.959 @ 63.2

and best 1/4 17.077 @ 80.61

Also had a decent amount of stuff in my car as this was a last minute thing.
I want to go back again shortly

I run in the high 8s currently with much room for improvement. I've only ran it on the 8th. I can't recall my trap but its somewhere in the 70's or 80's. I'm hoping for low 8's by Fall. The car runs really rough.

hes said that he only runs an 8th mile^ that would be sick if he ran in the 8s for the quarter mile....

Haha yeah high 8s in the 1/8th mile isn't that fast. Its not even a 13 second quarter mile car....yet. We'll see what I can get out of it with a Fuel Cut Defender though. Its faster than any Outback I've ever seen, but like I said, there's plenty of room for improvement.

I raced against a new camaro V6 and it only posted a 8.290 at the 1/8th mark. I'd say a 4 cyl wagon in the high 8's is still pretty fast.

Was the Camaro spinning the tires? I would expect the Camaro to be coming on strong in the 1/4 with that 300 hp six cylinder.

Heck, I believe my old '00 Silverado did 16's in the quarter. My Subaru would be like watching paint dry going down the quarter. I would be pushing on the dash trying to get it to go faster.

my best at an 1/8 mile track with my stock at the time '98 wagon was 11.450@64.98, I've done some mods to it and I'm gonna go see if it can do better sometime soon..but mind you this is a 4eat car soo no high expectations. I really enjoy the "WTF? is that a wagon?" look when you pull through the water box haha, that time was fast enough to beat civic 5 speeds all night up there, and that's a funny look when someone says that wagon just beat you dude

Old thread revival, but I'll bite...

My best time has been 10.207 @ 68.76mph in the 1/8 mi, and 15.924 @ 85.83 in the 1/4mi. Only mods were lw crank pulley and OBX EL header. I guess the manual swap may be a mod, as it was a 3.9 FD from a 2.2. I think I could have gone faster, but the OE replacement Exedy clutch wasn't dealing with the stress well. Anything over 4000rpm on the launch resulted in the clutch slipping a lot, so I was only getting 2.2 60' times.

I haven't run the 06 and I don't plan to. I can't do justice for that car without launching it HARD, since its so heavy. And the 5spd isn't really a sturdy trans for hard launches, even the stronger Legacy 5spd.

My 2.2 stock ran 17.7 at something like 74ish mph. 4EAT. Hopefully after my full exhaust is done and I get my intake done how I want it. I can get it down. I weighed in at 2940lbs. With me out of the car. I weigh about 250

In my 2.2 Brighton wagon I ran a 17.9 and an 18.3. Buddy of mine ran a 17.2 and 17.3 the same night in my car.

Has an intake and an MSD coil. Dumped on coils with 16x8 steelies (that weighed 25lbs each, without tires) with stretched 205/40s with little to no thread. Also had my 12inch ported sub in the back.

.....I got beat by a Yukon, driven by a woman who had her daughter in the front seat and son in the back. lol
