Are they seats from a RS wagon/OBS? Or are they sedan seats?

Just FYI, the lower part will fit directly in the front, not sure how im gonna attach it in the rear yet, or if it even will need to be, since the top rear will hold it down tightly.

The rear portion of the seat will bolt directly into the factory locations, the problem is it isn't sturdy (coupe/sedan have a metal backing plate which goes behind the seats)

I've taken the padding off of my factory rear backs and im working on a way of attaching the RS seats to them, or using them as a template for a plate. I may be able to still have them fold actually if it all works as planned.

Yea, saw that, but mine is a wagon, thats whats different here...
These into the BD= Easy bolt directly in basically.

These in the BG/BK= Not for the faint hearted. But Im gonna make it work.

Does your rear seat not feel weird without the metal plate behind the seats? You did know the RS does have a metal bar that goes across the gap, right? If It doesnt feel awkward tho, thats awesome!!!

No it feels fine. I'v had the unfortunate chance to pack 3 people back there and no one complained. And yes I did know about the rear support from the RS. I took mine from a friends gutted GC8.

Good progress though, I wrapped the back of the RS seat with some black tweed. Spray glue and a few fabric staples.

I am curious to see how you attach the BK metal brace to the rear seat. I have a few friends with BK's and RS interior is pennies on the local forums, this would make a nice upgrade for them.

Worked on this for about 20min today before work. I took pics, but not upoaded yet.

Basically, Im going the easy way for now and having them NOT fold like stock. What I've used is a 48" long, 1.25" wide angle Iron ($9.98) and some bolts/washers ($0.46)

I put the Angle Iron across the two U brackets which the factory seats latch onto up top,and bolted it inside of them (kinda super ghetto Strut bar!!!)

The rear seats attach to the bottom where the factory bolts go, and up top, the 3 parts where it normally hooks into the frame will be attached to the bar. The only thing left to do is make a carpet like the factory wagon seats have to put on the back of the RS seats.

I will most likely go back and make them fold later on, but I figure for now, it works, and I have plenty of room behind the seats for everything. (race wheels, jack, etc.)

I will get pics up, but all together this should take about; 20-30 min, $15.00, Rear seats,, drill bit, and a 12mm rachet. Very easy......

If they don't fold, what's the point then?

Did you consider removing the seat cover and putting it over your stock interior?
