rear strut bar on a sedan

so i was searching thru the posts and i saw the rear strut bar that someone had posted but it was for a wagon..but i have a sedan and i didnt know if anyone knew if i could use one for a wagon or if there are any other types i can use becuz im not skilled enough to fab my own lol

any help would be great

I'm using a CUSCO OS type bar on my BK4 which was originally meant to fit on a sedan. The wagon bar is straight across, while the sedan bar has accommodations for the nooks and crannies it has to pass through.

so a 02+ wrx rear strut bar will fit or should fit no problems? cuz if thats the case and itll fit in my BD ill order one on ebay for cheap

I have a 99 gt sedan as well and I am also looking for a rear strut tower brace. Anyone have brands/part #'s/url's to websites, or know what's interchangeable to use? Ideally I'm just looking for a generic as my generic front bar seems to work well, so I'd like to save the money for something where buying name-brand matters more.

i reall want a rear strut bar and as long as its not a headache and i dont need to do that much mod work id get one but if its a pain in the ass then im just gonna forget it, from those pics in the link it doesnt look too too bad

The pics are for a wagon.

It's significantly more difficult to install in a sedan, from all reports I've ever heard.

well i know they make them for a sedan cuz ive found a bunch i cant recall the sites id have to do a search but they cost an arm and a leg, i mean so if its not too much work it would be well worth saving the extra money and fab-ing a wagon one or atleast i would imagine

hope you have tiny hands and a gear wrench, the tower bolts suck getting at unless you pull the seat belts

The only BD rear strut bar that I seen a someone claim it was a BD specific bar was a Cusco bar. I have 2 japanese Legacy specific parts books and neither one say anything about BD specific rear strut bar. You need to use a BG one with some modifications I believe.

i have one that i bought from a Greddy outlet on eBay that is BD specific from CUSCO. It even has a tag on it (since its new) with BD5 spec on it.
