3300 H6 into second gen legacy?

got a line on an extra 3.3 H6 and ECU has anyone shoehorned one into a second gen legacy? just eyeballin it, it looks like it would need massive fabrication, maybe cutting inner fender wells, moving radiator, etc.

but man, that would be a sweet ride... :smt026

nasioc has the offical H6 swap sticky if you search for it. not sure about 2nd gen , but have seen in 1st gens. also a few gc8 impreza's

It should fit just fine - you may need a slimmer radiator, but otherwise it'll drop in. The BD has a slightly bigger engine bay than the Impreza, but not by much.

weren't eg33/svx's OBD1 while second gen legacies OBD2 if so that would create some problems with passing inspection of course depending on your state laws.

i have my donor eg33 pulled from its svx, it will be going into my legacy any month now....

^ will do, i'll be starting the build thread soon.

also, the only fabrication required is for installing the radiator, either need to trim some stuff, or by a custom radiator, other than that it bolts up fine. my friend ( www.numbchuxconversions.com (http://www.numbchuxconversions.com) ) will be doing the wiring for me.
