http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... ?t=1644843 (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1644843) as I based my install on this but had to do some modifications to make it fit a BE underside.
First, modifications needed to the sti diffuser to clear the rear swaybar and other misc. things under the sparetire well.
Cut the middle portion of the RSB cover that bends inwards

Open up the sides for the RSB, the BE swaybar hangs lower than the GD imprezas

Cut the little portion of the heatshield that sweeps upwards, just make the side even. I put an extra screw into the shield as you lose one rivet with the cut.

Now modify the rear bracket, you need to bend the 2 tabs so it is parallel with the mounting points for the diffuser...I suggest you make two cuts along the beveled area to make bending it easier.

I chose to drill into the bumper cover, there really isn't a metal tab hanging behind it like in the impreza to bolt this rear bracket into. I flipped the bracket over and used it in the opposite direction as on the sti/impreza.

I chose to drill the tire well like in the impreza install. You can also weld it, BUT the front brackets won't really sit flush with under the BE well, unlike the impreza tire well. I chose to only use 2 front brackets, I found out you can really only use 2 on the BE due to the shape of the well to begin with, so it worked out that way.
Drill under for the pilot holes, drill from above to make the final holes. Remember to spray some paint into the holes to protect from rust.

You will have to test fit the diffuser and bend the brackets and may enlarge some holes depending on how well your pilot holes lined up. Refer to the impreza install for suggestions on test fitting...

With some swearing, hopefully everything will line up and it will look like this:
