Pulley vs. TbS

i want to get either a perrin pulley or a Groupa TBS. I was jus wonderin wut ur guys opionions are about both of them. they r about the same price and REASON said u get about same gains. any other info that would be helpful? thankz

Pulley is an easier install IMHO...I am not noticing a huge amount of gains, but then again I have a slipping clutch. My view is that it's reduced about 5-7lbs of weight off my crank, which makes generating power easier. With a lightweight pulley you're eliminating the parasitic drag on your crank all the way through the rev range.

Throttle control is improved though, so when I let off the pedal the rpms drop quicker, which suits me just fine.

I got my LW pulley used, cost me US$35.

Personally if I had the cash I would get the Group A pulley set. LW alternator & PS pulley. Perrin items that are somewhat generic like pulley's are vastly overpriced from them. You get the same quality and results with going with a smaller vendor/manufacturer.

+1 for the pulley, although for me, the install was a huge pain.

You would probably be more happy with a full pulley set. Like I told you in the pm I had both done and it was about the same in throttle response. But I had the lightweight pulley on a 4EAT so I didn't notice too much in the revs. Installing my TB spacer was quick and easy.

yea i was leaning towards a pulley set. jus wanted sum opionion i was on tha groupa website and they said there crank was 90 but this is the same price as a perrin. . so wht kinda gains wood i get from a whole pulley set? also wut wood it cost 4 all 3 pulleys?

you don't "gain" anything - you recover lost hp due to parasitic drag. You achieve better throttle response.
Reason will give you a decent price on the full pulley set.
