SAFC enough EM for Franken motor?

Hey guys
Do you think the Apexi SAFC is enough management for the frankenmotor?

I tunes the fuel and I don't think I'll need anything else tune right?

Also with the Franken motor which ECU am i going to run my EJ25D ecu or do I have to run the EJ222 ECU?

1. What Franken Motor
2. What Car (ECU)
3. N/A build or are you boosting?

I am using just an SAFC on my turbo frankenmotor but there are limits to how much boost I can safely run before I have to start worrying about ignition control.

You'll probably be fine, I've discovered the ECU is pretty robust. If you're doing a higher compression build you'll probably need to run higher octane gas.

Yea that I know, Ima have to run 93 as I did on my high compression honda motors ^__^

Now I just gotta make this dudes mind in letting go of his EJ25D that he has layin around for 100 bux :smt021

I have avoided going the SAFC route although I know that Jey has had success with it. I am rich enough that the car is safe for the boost that I run however this means that the car gets bad mileage. Honestly, if I had an SAFC I would use it to PULL fuel while driving calmly on the street, I don't need much fuel off boost. For an NA build you would be fine using it I suppose but the SAFC tricks the ECU and that can cause the ECU to do things to timing to compensate. Thus I haven't gone that route, I instead am using an EJ22T with a MBC to control boost. I'll be putting in a fuel cut defender and wideband soon.

We'll see. SAFC is my cheap route into getting the ECU tuned for wht its got. I'm def. Not going to be tunning it myself. Ima get one of the CT Suby shops to do it either ECS or EFI. We'll see who gives me the better price when time comes for this to happen
