12-12-2005, 02:06 PM
I was driving on a flat road, I was accelerating from a stop sign and it started running a little rough, then the check engine light came on but now its running fine.

It flashed about 41-42 times, I know it was in the low 40s if anyone knows the code or could send me a link to where I could find it I would greatly appreciate it.

btw its a 1995 Legacy L Sedan

It was a misfire in cylinder 2. Second time this has happened. I got new sparks and wires put on in September so I dont think its that, unless I have a bad plug? :x

anyone else have this problem?

Are you posting on NASIOC too?

Check your plugs and wires. Just because they were new doesn't mean they won't be bad now.

Plugs can be fouled and then misfire...

Yea, sorry for quoting myself on NASIOC. Just want to figure out whats going on asap.

You have to remember how an engine works.

If an engine is mis-firing, it is because either a component has lost "time" or is being sent a wrong signal, or the component is faulty or fouled in some way.

You might also want to check your timing belt. One tooth out can result in mis-firing.
