so im having problems with my subaru. I was driving today an when i went to give it gas it acted like it wasnt gonna go, than all of a sudden it jolted forward an back to the same thing. I have checked everything possible that I thought was wrong with it but I'm so frustrated with it that I have given up. If anybody has any information on what could be wrong i would greatly appericate it.
I have also changed the spark plugs an the wire boots. But notice it didnt start to do the sluggish feel til here recently.

Sounds to me like an o2 sensor, MAF or severly clogged fuel filter.

sometimes it wants to run fine, but as soon as you give it gas an let off it goes back to not wanting to move, let off the gas an barely push it an you have power again until it decides to do it again..

my car hick-ups when I turn right or left from a dead stop. Had my dad, whose a mechanic look at it.
Said I should get some fuel injector cleaner and see if that fixed it, if not he said it might be the fuel filter.
My old car would lurch forward at stops sometimes, never found out the problem, even after replacing multiple parts.

Sounds more like a throttle position sensor than fuel delivery.

What? Anytime you lose a password the forum can email it to you.
And you should post a link, not tell people where to search for your posts.
TPS is on the throttle body, on the side, with a wiring harness going to it.
