Running on stock L struts, and got a bit of saggy butt because my 4EAT came out and a 5MT went in.

I have a set of WRX struts lying around, and I know for a FACT they will lower the rear a tad, and possible raise the front (like they did in my 2.5GT)

Now, problem is, do I raise it up by putting the struts in as is, and add some 1/2" saggy butt spacers to level it out?

Or do I get some lowering springs and drop it all around about 1"?

Of course money is a problem, but a bigger one is SNOW. I only got stuck ONCE in the GT before the strut swap due to the depth of the snow, but I have a set of snow tires to run this winter, so it won't be AS hard....

I don't have an answer but I too worry about dropping the car.. I mean the car already hits things with the tow hooks if you are not careful but I wonder about the snow.. the most I ever had to do was 6 in. in a Subaru but it was a forester...

Ground clearance...it's a good thing.

Sorry, 9 votes to 2, the dumpage vote won out!

Glad to say it worked out PERFECT. 2005 WRX Sedan struts, Hotchkis 1.5"/.75" drop Street Springs, and the ride is level, smooth-ish, and the handling is MUCH improved.
